The Embassy of the Republic of Malawi in Washington, DC wishes to inform the public that it has temporarily ceased the processing and issuance of visas with immediate effect until further notice. This decision comes in the wake of the prevailing travel challenges as countries, including Malawi, seek to respond to Corona Virus (COVID-19).
The public is further notified that, consequently, all visas issued prior to 20th March 2020 have been cancelled. Additionally, visas issued upon arrival in Malawi have been suspended until such a time as will be communicated.
Any inconvenience caused as a result of this action is deeply regretted.
